At Playground Imagineering we offer a free site survey and design service to kick start your playground development. Once a site visit is requested, a member of our team will visit your school to measure up and discuss your requirements, no matter how big or small.
As playground specialists with over 25 years experience, we understand the restrictions that can sometimes impact on developing your playground, from tight budgets to limited space. We will be able to produce a design to cover all the bases, from curriculum based learning to a child’s personal, social and emotional development.
We are aware that schools are busy hives of activity and time is precious, so we want to gain as much information as possible from our first visit. This will allow us to do all the development work for you. Below is a list of points to have in mind before we come to visit:
Will you be focusing on EYFS learning or providing play provisions for KS2? We have a wide range of products to suit almost all key stages and if we don’t, we are always happy to adjust an existing design or come up with new bespoke ideas for you.
Outdoor learning is most effective when it is closely linked to your school curriculum and works best for schools when classes can be effortlessly transferred from indoors to outdoors. From outdoor classrooms and seating to interactive water walls and educational play panels, we can design a space to facilitate fun and exciting learning.
Do you have a specific theme in mind for your playground or an idea for a design that is personal to your school? Our designers are happy to develop your ideas and bring them to life.
Whether the space is big or small, flat tarmac or grassy slopes, we can manufacture our equipment to fit your available space and position it so that you are making the most of your playground. During our site visit we will measure the space so that our team of designers have an accurate plan to work off. Also, by understanding the area, we can give you an accurate cost and idea of the scope of work that will need to be undertaken.
We know that budgets can be tight in schools, which is why we aim to provide you with a design that is full of quality products with years of play value and is competitively priced. Understandably budgets can sometimes be an unknown, but the more information we have about the possibility of funding, the better, as we can then produce a design that is attainable for the school. At Playground Imagineering, once the initial design has been proposed, we will work closely with you to make sure it meets your exact requirements and does not exceed your budget. With your feedback, we will look at whether elements need to be changed, scaled back or expanded to suit your budget, or even look at phasing the project over a period of time.
If you have a time frame in mind do let us know. We will always do our best to work around your schedule and meet any deadlines. Dependant on the type of works being carried out; our general lead times can vary from 2 weeks up to 6 weeks. We have a team of installers on hand all year round. Although school holidays are usually the preferred time for work to be undertaken, we can offer installation during term time, as all of our installers are fully DBS checked and CSCS card holders. We understand that this may not be possible and so we are happy to book the installation for a date that suits you. The time from quote to installation can be drastically reduced if term time work is an option. If you would like to know more about how we carry out work during term time, please mention it to the member of our team at your initial meeting.
All of our product range can be seen on our website along with a variety of our completed projects. An inspiration booklet with all of our most popular products is also available. If you would like to receive one, please get in touch and we will get one sent out to your school.
