We aim to provide you with information for all types of funding, from in house events to grants and crowd funding. In a time when school funding is forecast to be reduced further, it is important to look at alternative sources from outside organisations or join together to raise the funds as a school or community team.

Do you have items around school that aren’t being used? Or do you have a group of people willing to do some good deeds? An auction is a great way to raise money to help fund your playground development. Silent, online or in school, there are plenty of ways to organise an event. All you need are some items, whether that be unwanted equipment lying around school that may be of interest to other schools or a kind person willing to donate some hours to help sort out a school neighbours garden. And don’t forget there may be some local companies happy to donate items to your auction, so don’t be shy, go out and ask!
Do you have a daredevil member of the team willing to go abseiling down your town’s tallest building? Put them to the test! Create a big buzz and build donations to go towards your new playground and then when the big day finally arrives, make sure you everyone’s around to cheer them on.
Arts and Crafts
Everyone in school loves to take part in arts and crafts so why not put their talents to good use! Let the children create their own art to sell at an in house craft fair or even take it out on the road to your local fair/car boot sale. People will love to help and in return they may just buy the first works of the next great Picasso.
