About the Project

The school approached us with the objective of revitalising their KS1 & 2 playground through the introduction of a range of physically challenging equipment. Their vision was to create an interactive and dynamic space, fostering both the physical and cognitive development of the children.

To actively promote physical activity, we integrated a versatile Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) with durable goal ends, customized Sports Boards, Pitch Markings and rebound mesh sides. This addition not only caters to diverse sports and games but also contributes to improving gross motor skills, fostering a healthier lifestyle, encouraging cooperation among children, and enhancing both upper and lower body strength. The secure enclosure ensures organised play, adding an extra layer of safety to the dynamic and engaging space, the school can now use all year round.

We opted for installing our Brecon Climbing Structure to delight the children! This remarkable climbing structure, strategically arranged at different heights, encourages the KS1 pupils to traverse, ascend, and suspend themselves. Through navigating various challenges like swinging steps, a Traverse Wall, and Vertical Scramble Net, children can now utilise both their hands and feet building upon their upper and lower body strength. The inclusion of rope elements in the design not only enhances hand-eye coordination, but also contributes to the development of their sense of balance.

We installed gym equipment to encourage children to adopt a healthy lifestyle and develop their strength, balance, and coordination during PE classes or breaks. The equipment includes the Seated Leg Press, Hip Twister, Double Cross Country Skier, and Elliptical Cross Trainer.

Ultimately, we incorporated a triangular Sail Shade, strategically positioned to provide a refuge for the children from the sun’s rays and shield them from potentially harmful UV rays. This thoughtfully designed shade structure not only offers a comfortable space for the children but also ensures that they can enjoy the outdoors while staying protected from the harsh effects of sunlight.

“After obtaining three quotes for our playground project, we decided to go with Playground Imagineering for the following reasons: I was very impressed with their presentation and proposal as they planned the project with our needs in mind and I felt I was receiving a bespoke service rather than an off the peg solution. As a result the product matches our needs and that of the site perfectly. They were always professional,  responsive and when changes were requested, they were dealt with smoothly and without question. I would have no hesitation in recommending Playground Imagineering.”
