Rupert House School

The existing EYFS provision at this setting had become tired and needed major redevelopment.

About the Project

Rupert House Primary School’s EYFS playground was in need of a complete redevelopment for their pupils to build courage and resilience that will enable them to stand tall in the world.

We turned a large, tired, tarmac space, into a colourful and engaging playground. We included a mix of play experiences for the children, to develop their gross motor and cognitive skills.

We created dedicated play spaces by incorporating a timber picket fence and laying wetpour rubber graphic inlays, to create a more inviting space for the children to explore.

We installed an Action Zone Climbing Structure that would offer multiple obstacles and many climbing opportunities to build on their balance, strength and coordination. This particular climbing structure encourages the children to climb the Traverse Wall, Swing across the Monkey Bars, Venture across the Vertical Scramble Net and much more!

We installed a large timber Play House with Stage which offers endless play opportunity. Children can take part in imaginative play and act out performance’s or story tell with their peers, improving on their language skills and building their confidence.

Messy Play is so important in a child’s early years as they develop curiosity, initiative, resilience and focus. We installed not only a Water Wall, but a large Sliding Lid Sandpit. Our Water Wall is interactive, so the children can fully understand the concept of water, as they pivot the gutters and scoop and pour the water from the Water Table, improving their fine
motor skills. Our large Sandpit allows children to work independently or in groups as they take turns using different tools and explore natural elements.

Finally, to ensure the children of Rupert House Primary could get the most out of their playground no matter what the weather, we installed a Lean to Timber Shelter. It’s not only a great place to play but to take the classroom outdoors!

“After obtaining three quotes for our playground project, we decided to go with Playground Imagineering for the following reasons: I was very impressed with their presentation and proposal as they planned the project with our needs in mind and I felt I was receiving a bespoke service rather than an off the peg solution. As a result the product matches our needs and that of the site perfectly. They were always professional,  responsive and when changes were requested, they were dealt with smoothly and without question. I would have no hesitation in recommending Playground Imagineering.”
