About the Project

Holy Trinity C of E Primary School came to us and expressed their need for us to create an outdoor space that would not only stimulate and challenge their KS2 pupils, but also provide them with opportunities to lead a healthier lifestyle. We were keen to accept this challenge to ensure we made the most of their available space.

The school thought there would be challenge, due to an existing mound. Rather than considering this as a hindrance, we embraced the opportunity to create a unique and engaging play element, by digging out the mound and turning this into a crawl through tunnel as part of the Adventure Trail. By working around the mound we were able to fully optimise the available space and maximise it’s potential, for the pupils to grow their strength, balance and coordination.

To add more variation of physical play, we installed a heavy duty Steel Goal End, comprising of a football goal, basketball hoop and fixed cricket wickets and targets.

Recognising the importance of imaginative play and creative expression, we also installed a stage for role play at the side of the grassed area. This addition allows the pupils to explore their creativity through theatrical performance, storytelling, and collaborative play. The stage serves a space where the children can build their confidence, develop communication skills and foster teamwork.

“The children love their new playground it works so well whatever the weather! Our children absolutely love the sandpit and the bespoke treehouse! They especially enjoy building dens underneath the treehouse, turning it into their own little hideaway.”
